MapInfo is an easy-to-use geographic mapping and analysis tool. It has a vast selection of CAD data creation and editing tools. You can also store data in tabular form - values and names of places can thus be stored easily. You can load image data sets as background mapping and overlay your point, line, and polygon data to visualise your data in the way you want.
